Why did I invent the game "Hug Elsie"?

It is almost self-explanatory if you play the game or maybe even look at it in the next blog post, except that Elsie really didn't have anything to do with it.

My sister Kathi was the first person to make an Elsie Effigy and play with it. Her game was much different than my game and involved a lot of photos taken with "Elsie". I'm sure some day once of us will remember to post a photo of that "Elsie" on this blog.

I'm not sure if Kathi's Elsie really was an effigy of our cousin Elsie, but mine certainly is. Jim and Larry would probably hug Elsie before they would hug each other or even say intelligent supportive things to each other. I'm positive that that our cousin Elsie will be supportive of this even when she finds that I have made it public. She has an excellent sense of humor.

So if you feel supportive of Larry and Jim being supportive of each other, please play this game and feel free to send me photos of your version of the game.

  1. I played this game last month. I was home alone so I went to the pantry and pulled out a bunch of canned goods. With ribbons and markers I decorated cans and named them. We played the game through and it sure was fun. I laughed a lot!
